The Real Danger!

In this Christian walk with God, there are many pitfall's. Some Christians (know how) to dodge some  of them, others, are constantly falling for every ploy the devil places in their way. Why?  Why is it that many Christians (sincere as they may be) never seem to mature to the place where they can stand on their own spiritual two feet? Why is it, that so many of our Pentecostal, Full Gospel altar's, are filled with (the same people) in each Revival? Ma  ny praying again for salvation they say! Is this necessary?  Is it biblical?

How many times can we get lost? How many times can we get saved? Is it an ongoing process that happens to our lives "between" every Revival? When the music is reverberating throughout the Church, is this what brings on the mood for prayer? Why are there so many "rededication's" in the church today?  Did folks not mean to serve God the "first time" they dedicated their lives to the Lord? Do we ever know for sure if we are saved, or, is just another trip to the altar a little more security "in case we are not"?

What is "the real danger" in all of this, and, how can it be avoided? This message will help you if you will take heed, as it will admonish you to search the scriptures for guidance and strength. But if not, you will be thrown around in every gospel meeting, by the appeals of every Evangelist, and, by every wind of doctrine, special revelations, and dream, that comes to the Ministers mind at that time. Many false doctrines are filling the "airways" today. Friend, there are hundreds also coming from the Pulpit, and, from "the man of God", so called! The "hour is late" beloved, the world is a "tinderbox" and many nations are holding the match right at this moment "that could set it off"! If you are going to stand firm in the faith in this last day, this message is for you! If you intend to continue to play church, this message is Still for you!

Isa. 40:8... The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the WORD of God will stand for ever.

Isa. 55:11... So shall my WORD be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isa. 66:2... For all these things hath mine hands made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my WORD.

Deut. 18:20... But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a WORD in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

1^st Sam. 15:23... For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry, Because thou hast rejected the WORD of the LORD, he hath rejected thee from being king.

Ps. 17:4 ...Concerning the works of men, by the WORD of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

Ps. 33:4... For the WORD of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.

Ps.56:10 ...In God will I praise his WORD: in the LORD will I praise his WORD.

Ps 119:11... Thy WORD have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Ps. 119:16... I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy WORD. 17.Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy WORD.

Matt. 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my WORDS shall not pass away.

Rev. 22:18... For I testify to every man that heareth the WORDS of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book..

19....And if any man shall take away from the WORDS of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things that are written ion this book

I have given you many scriptures, and yet, I haven't begun to scratch the surface as to the importance of the WORD of God! So much is happening in the Church world today that is negative, simply because Christians do not know the "Word of God". Oh; they go to Church, they sing in the choir, they play music, and their talents are many, but very few know anything about the Bible. They know what they are being taught, but, they do not know "if they are being taught right, because they themselves have never looked into the WORD of God,  to see what it really says! They well know, what somebody SAID IT SAYS, but many  don't know for sure whither it is true or not! So, they just accept what is being said as truth, whither it is or not!

The sad part is: "Many simply don't care" what they're being taught, just as long as they can get some goose bumps, or, a few "experiences" during the services. As Mike Perky, of TBN fame often said: Crank up the music, let's have Church"! So, we find in many of the Pentecostal, and Charismatic Churches, that CRANKING UP THE MUSIC, IS HAVING CHURCH! How sad it is! Herein lies the "real danger"! Their "feel good experiences" take precedent over the Word of God being taught or preached. I will be the first to tell you, that to this "entertainment" pleasure seeking group of Christians today, this message will mean very little. As a matter of fact, it will be despised! You find many praising God on Sunday, and stripped half naked at Myrtle Beach on Monday!

I know of a "Spirit filled", Pentecostal Church, where the Sisters would get together in the Sanctuary , to show off their pictures of almost nudity, of their visits to Myrtle Beach! This is in one of the main line Pentecostal denominations today! What is the "real danger"? The danger of dressing, looking, loving, and, acting like this sinful world in which we live, when the WORD of God speaks so adamantly against it!

The fear of the Lord has departed from the majority of Christians today! They can fit right in with the world no matter what is going on, or, whither it is right or wrong. Many times a person is asked the question on the street, or in the Mall: Do you say are you a Christian? If those that go to Church today, and call themselves by the name of Christ, knew just a little of what the "Word of God" says, and, would heed what it teaches, their lives would be changed dramatically. AND THE CHURCH WOULD BE CHANGED DRAMATICALLY!

It is so silly today, as you watch Ministers run across the platform yelling: "You don't hear me out there"! Turn to your neighbor and tell him, "God is doing Miracles tonight"! Each Evangelist, and, many Pastor's, try to be another T.D. Jake's, or Rod Parsley, as they hold their microphone up toward the rafters and yell!: "I'm going to stop preaching here tonight, if you all don't get behind me"! Do I hear some Amen's, they yell? I dare five of you to get up and run around the Church five times! Tell the devil tonight, "I'm taking it all back! What ever the devil stole from me, I am taking it all back"!

Dear friend,  you are not "taking anything back"  by such nonsense! That is not the way you defeat the devil, with "silly jingles"! "He's under my feet, he's under my feet, the devils is under my feet" the Church sings! Very sad, but when the people don't, and won't, read the Word of God, many think they are having the greatest service ever! A MIGHTY MOVE OF GOD THEY CALL IT! The devil may be under their "seat", but he sure isn't under their feet! Incidentally, how many devils are there? There is only ONE Devil! How could he be under "every ones feet" in the auditorium, at the same time?

I watched one night on a "Christian Television program", (so called) as the Evangelist got the crowd all hyped up, and the music going, as he instructed the audience: Begin stomping your feet, every one stomp your feet, YOU ARE STOMPING THE DEVIL! I sat there amazed, as the entire auditorium stood to their feet, and began stomping their feet all over the auditorium! It was such a silly, shameful, embarrassing spectacle to watch, for the Church of the Living God, to be led like some "pied Piper" to do what ever they were being  instructed to do.

Around and around they went-stomping and stomping the floor. .

God may have been thinking: What will they have them do next? and, all of this is done in my name!  How could you get grown men and women, (Spirit filled) at that, to obey such a ridiculous display of total nonsense from the pulpit? If the devil was there that night (and I believe he was), he must have laughed himself into a fit, as he watched God's children of the Most High God, making a complete fool of themselves, as the Minister continued to hype the congregation: "Obey the man of God"!

"The great danger" in all of this nonsense is: If you can manipulate people to do such silly unbiblical things as I have just mentioned, (although there is little harm in stomping your feet, for it does help the circulation), what can the Prophet, Pastor, Teacher, or Evangelist, get them to do next, not knowing the "Word of God"? This all leads up to the false Ministers of today, that are fostering the "unbiblical pledging" with the false promises of the "hundred fold blessing, the abundant blessing, the debts burned blessing", the "wallet be thou full blessing", the "find a need, and plant your seed blessing". The pledge that gets "your loved ones saved blessing"! On, and on, there is no end!

Jeremiah 48:10... Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully...God, help your people!

The following scriptures are given to help you in your search for the truth. If you don't want the truth, (and many don't today) you will be tossed to and fro in your Churches, and Crusades, like the leaves in an Autumn wind, (and I see it done around us all the time!)

2:nd. Timothy, 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the "word of truth".

Today, like no other time in history, the Church is turning away from the truth, partly because she listens to all of these silly "jingles" and "off the wall revelations", and refuses to listen to sound doctrine! What ever the doctrine being taught in many of the Churches today, even if it is not Biblical, if the Pastor, Teacher, or Evangelist teaches it: It must be so! The GREAT DANGER IS: due to the fact that the biggest part of Christians today, will not study, or, they do not read their bible at all, so how can they know the truth?!

That is a GREAT DANGER, especially when you have TV hosts, such as Paul Crouch who is making the statement: I don't believe in doctrine! I think all doctrine is "doctrinal Do Do"! What a statement to make from a Minister of the gospel! Of course Paul is pro Catholic, and teaching SOUND DOCTRINE would surely expose the terrible error of the Catholic faith! Strange bedfellows indeed!

The Apostle Paul, thought otherwise. He said Timothy, YOU HAVE KNOWN MY DOCTRINE, MANNER OF LIFE, FAITH, PURPOSE ETC. .And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise... "THE GREAT DANGER" IN MUCH OF THE "ENTERTAINMENT HUNGRY CHURCH TODAY" IS: "THEY DON'T KNOW THE SCRIPTURES"! And, MANY don't want to know them! Every doctrine that floats into their Churches, are being accepted as being "gospel", because they simply don't know enough of God's Word to counteract it!

Nearly 41 years ago, I was born again! I immediately began studying the Bible! I studied it at home, on the job, at the Church, by the river, in the truck, where ever I was, I made it a point to study "God's Word". I could not get enough of it!   I say this for a very important reason! In less than two years, I found that I was sitting under a "false prophet" for a Pastor!  How did I know for sure? I could tell by all of the lies he was teaching, the false prophecies, the false interpretation of tongues, and, the only way I knew it,  was BECAUSE "THE WORD OF GOD" TAUGHT THE OPPOSITE OF ALL HIS FALSE TEACHINGS! You cannot live a victorious life, just because the Pastor is preaching, (even if it is all true). It is the "Word of God" that will keep you, strengthen you, guide you, keep you, and protect you.

To solely rely on anyone else, you will remain weak, and, you will not grow into maturity, or know what the "enemy" is going to try and trick you with next!

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, IT IS WRITTEN MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDETH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD!

If I had trusted my Pastor at the time, (1969-1971) I don't know where I would have wound up! I was being taught: That there was no Hell, and, a string of false prophecies that would make your head swim. I knew that they were false, BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD READ "THE OPPOSITE" OF WHAT HE WAS TEACHING! Oh; friend, you can trust the Word of God!

Most all of the "Prophecies given" on (Christian TV) today, the dreams, doctrines, and, all of the special revelations, ARE AS FALSE AS Russia's "user friendly missiles"! After all, "Russia wants peace" you know! They are our friends! Putin is an honest man, Bush told us. I think our Presidents  are  finding out, that Putin is not as good of a friend, as he claimed he was.

Many times over the years in my own Christian experience, I would have fallen by the wayside, had I not known what the Word of God said in a particular situation, or about a given subject! We may have a special Minister that we like to hear, and, admire the truth he preaches, but the REAL DANGER is, when you begin to rely on that Minister for (all of the truth,) and, trust him with your own spiritual welfare, and, when you do not know what the Bible says about a certain message, you are headed for trouble, and, in the wrong direction!

There are many things that are going on in the Church world today, (especially in the Charismatic, Pentecostal realm) that is no more scriptural and of God, than the story of "Little Red Riding Hood, and the friendly Wolf"! . At least no one gets hurt listening to that story, but, untold thousands are being taken in each week by these "Super Stars", AND, THEY ARE GREATLY DOING DAMAGE TO THE TRUE BODY OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH!

While Christians are being told, by some of TV leading Evangelists, that angels sit on the Prophets beds for months on end, this is a blatant lie!   When Jesus supposedly tells Ministers, that He is going to appear on stage in their meetings, IT IS A BLATANT LIE! This scripture proves that it is a lie!

If Jesus Christ the Son of God, doesn't even know when He is returning, HOW DOES BENNY Hinn  KNOW- THAT HE IS COMING TO VISIT ON STAGE IN HIS MEETINGS? Someone is lying big time, and I don't think it is Jesus! But because men and women refuse to read God's Word today, they stand and cheer in the church services, like spectators at the Dallas Cowboys game, every time some Evangelist tells them some asinine ridiculous story!

All along "THE REAL DANGER" has been, and still is: Men and women who do not know the "Word of God", and, they will not read it for themselves! The Bible is full of scriptures admonishing the Christian to read God's Word! To not do so, is to be at your own peril, for the gimmicks used today on the unsuspecting Christian are like a "spider with his web", sooner or later someone will fall in, and they will be lunch for the devil! I have noticed a serious situation from the pulpit, in the past few years especially. Ministers will use God's Word to their own financial advantage, for there is no fear left in many of them! They have lied for so long, and abused the Precious word of God, until "their conscience is seared with a hot iron". The Son of God is sold on the market day after day, for "thirty pieces of silver"! Pardon me! A $3500.00 pledge.

We are in perilous times, and a Christian should know God's Word for protection, and, for discerning the days in which we live. Quit believing all of the "false videos" on the market today, such as: "Left behind", and a hundred others. They are as false as the "Jehovah's Witnesses, and a dozen other cults. THE GREAT DANGER in watching all of this junk, is not discerning the truth. For if you do not know God's Word, YOU DO NOT KNOW THE TRUTH, but only what "headquarters" and, your favorite "faith minister" on TV is teaching you!

I urge you in Jesus name, to "take the time" and read God's Word each day. I have not the time, nor is it the purpose of this message, to tell of all the lies, and the twisting, and perverting of God's Word today, and, by those that call themselves: Men of God! I make no apologies for stating: That only the Word of God is true! Let God be true, and every man a liar! And is that ever true today!

Do you know this God of the Bible today? Do you know for sure, that if you died right now you would make Heaven your home? You can be sure right now, for God has written in His Word:

That means, to forgive (not just a few), but all of our sins! Every thing that you have done in life, He will forgive it all in a moment's notice! Don't you want to do that right now? If the Holy Spirit is dealing with your heart, will you not simply say: "God, I am a sinner, and, I want you to forgive me of my sins. I am sorry for my sins, and, I want a change in my life, I want to follow you all the days of my life. Teach me of your Word, I surrender my life to you this moment, and, I ask it all in the name of Jesus". Amen!

I think I can close with no greater words, than the faithful Words spoken by the Son of God Himself as He said:

ISAIAH 9:20 To the law and to the testimony: IF THEY SPEAK NOT ACCORDING TO THIS WORD, IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM.

Will you read His Word today? You will find strength, guidance, and, the assurance, that God's Word NEVER FAILS. Amen.
